A Timeless History

King Solomon is the only urban hotel in Honiara with the atmosphere of a traditional South Pacific hotel, and the massive thatched roof only enhances this notion.

Woodcarvings for display and all along the infrastructure (poles, door handles, etc.) adds a true authentic and unique South Pacific flavour and this traditional look is appreciated by guests.

Comprised of 83 staff, some having served over 16 years, our down-to-earth and Solomon friendly service, along with the Pacific ambience regularly brings back guests for return visits and hugs.

The hotel also looks over the historic Iron Bottom Sound which is the final resting place of gunned down planes and sunken ships during the Battle of Guadalcanal in the early 1940s.
